Dr. Jean Houston was a friend. I was personally graced by knowing her for 30 years and she published here in the journal. She was kind, generous, wise, committed and devoted to creating potential for healing in humans. She was willing to explore and discover both what it ment to be human and what it could be to be human as a founder of the human potentials’ movement. She was a gift. Double PhD’s in a period when women were not fully accepted as scientists, she was committed and stayed an active participant in science her whole life. I would periodically go to her for wisdom and she always had a story that both provided inspiration and assurance. She had a gift for seeing a path through with grace. I know that I personally, and the community as a whole is richer for being in her presence and learning from her. Travel gently Jean and may all the beauty and wisdom you created follow you.
