Abstract

The sixth mass extinction of species on planet earth is in progress, caused by humans. We are aware of the damages we are causing to our planet and of the suicidal danger to human survival and to survival of all other species on our planet, but are not taking adequate steps to halt this planetary destruction and self-destruction. This discussion considers some of the contributing factors to our behaviors, which clearly qualify as collective insanity. Hopefully, with increased awareness of the impending disasters, humanity will wake up and avert this extinction.
